As part of its commitment to academic excellence, an Initiative of Quality Assurance and Enhancement in Higher Education (IQAC) conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) centered on student-centric pedagogies.

NCC RANK PROMOTION 2022

After an year of service for NCC cadets of st.Vincent pallotti college NCC unit under 39 KAR BN NCC, Karnataka and Goa Directorate. As Rank promotion celebration held on 07/07/2022 cadets were promoted and given ranks for their stupendous performance in camps and other social service activities, by the principal Dr E Jerome Xavier and Associate NCC officers Lt Pavan Yadav. Inter-class Volleyball and Throw ball competition

A sport is a discipline that brings people together, pushes the boundaries of the human mind and body – it is often the perfect expression of human excellence. Continuing in the vein, St Vincent Pallotti PU College organised an Inter-class Volleyball and Throw ball competition for Boys and Girls from 8th July to 9th July 2022. Volleyball & Throw ball has long been a popular sport in the college and this was evident in the enthusiastic response to the tournament. Teams were built and shuffled even as the students worked hard to improve their chances in the Competition. The tournament began on the 8th of July, 2022 with the inaugural speech by Principal, Fr. Andrew Roshan Alva SAC. Ms. Padmavathy Vice Principal, Mr. Doresh Physical Education Director & Mr. Prasanna Kumar Physical Director of Degree college were present for the inaugural ceremony.

The tournament was a huge success with a great crowd turnout. All the participants in the tournament were great exponents of the best qualities of sportsmen and sportswomen, thus fulfilling the main objective of the tournament – to encourage in students the desire to participate and improve the perennial struggle of life; a struggle in which this tournament definitely played a huge supporting role. In the Girls category Volleyball tournament, the Department of Commerce (1st PUC B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up. In the category of boys, the Department of Commerce (2nd PUC Commerce E Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Commerce (1st PUC Commerce E Section) as runners-up. In the Girls category Throw ball tournament, once again the Department of Commerce (1st PUC B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up. In the category of boys, the Department of Commerce (2nd PUC Commerce B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up.

Independence Day -2021

Independence Day 2021, was held at St. Vincent Pallotti College, Bangalore in the presence of Dr. M. Prakash, who inspired the students to work towards excellence. The occasion was graced by the Rector of Assumption House – Fr. Alex Crasta, the Director – Fr. Gilbert Mascarenhas, Principal – Dr. E Jerome Xavier, Vice-Principals, Head of the Departments, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, and Students.

Cultivate Work Ethics & Inspire Young Minds

On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Teachers’ Day Celebration, St Vincent Pallotti College, organised Teachers’ Day Celebration on September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am.
The programme began with an invocation song by the college choir, Followed by a welcome address by Merle Hillchrist. The dignitaries lighted the lamp as a symbol of Enlightenment of Knowledge and Wisdom. Rev. Fr. Gilbert Mascarenhas, Director, St Vincent Pallotti College spoke the words of blessing. Dr. E. Jerome Xavier, the Principal, introduced the Chief Guest Dr. K Eresi, the former Professor and Chairman of Commerce and Management, Bangalore University, an Eminent Teacher and Dynamic Scholar. The esteemed members of the management were honoured to felicitate the Chief Guest. Dr. K Eresi in his address to the teachers and students spoke on the importance and role of education, teachers and students, and the institution in Nation Building. He reiterated that the teachers need to cultivate a work ethic and inspire young minds to be great citizens of India. He also said that the development of a nation begins in the classroom, where both the teachers and students, play a key role.
The students felicitated the teachers by their cultural performances. It was a moment that will be cherished forever. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
