A sport is a discipline that brings people together, pushes the boundaries of the human mind and body – it is often the perfect expression of human excellence. Continuing in the vein, St Vincent Pallotti PU College organised an Inter-class Volleyball and Throw ball competition for Boys and Girls from 8th July to 9th July 2022. Volleyball & Throw ball has long been a popular sport in the college and this was evident in the enthusiastic response to the tournament. Teams were built and shuffled even as the students worked hard to improve their chances in the Competition. The tournament began on the 8th of July, 2022 with the inaugural speech by Principal, Fr. Andrew Roshan Alva SAC. Ms. Padmavathy Vice Principal, Mr. Doresh Physical Education Director & Mr. Prasanna Kumar Physical Director of Degree college were present for the inaugural ceremony.

The tournament was a huge success with a great crowd turnout. All the participants in the tournament were great exponents of the best qualities of sportsmen and sportswomen, thus fulfilling the main objective of the tournament – to encourage in students the desire to participate and improve the perennial struggle of life; a struggle in which this tournament definitely played a huge supporting role. In the Girls category Volleyball tournament, the Department of Commerce (1st PUC B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up. In the category of boys, the Department of Commerce (2nd PUC Commerce E Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Commerce (1st PUC Commerce E Section) as runners-up. In the  Girls category Throw ball tournament, once again the Department of Commerce (1st PUC B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up. In the category of boys, the Department of Commerce (2nd PUC Commerce B Section) emerged as the winners of the tournament with the Department of Science (2nd PUC) as runners-up.
